Following Aprilia’s introduction to the mid-engine market last year, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has doubled its lineup of 660 motorcycles for the 2022 model year and introduced a new motorcycle to the 660 family in addition to a few special variants of their existing models. .

The last few years have seen the brand focus on high-power V4 and mid-size 660 engine configurations. Beyond the Shiver and Dorsoduro 900, the whole range revolves around Aprilia’s new “bread and butter” engines (i.e. the 660 and V4). 2022 finally gives Aprilia fans the chance to go anywhere with the introduction of their new 2022 Tuareg 660 ADV bike, which should help level the playing field with their Italian rival, Ducati (and their Multistrada model long time).

2022 is a big year for Aprilia with many new models and variants causing a stir in the motorcycle scene; one of them being their new Tuareg 660. Last year the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched their new 660cc engine/platform which led to a landslide of new Aprilia models in the market. The new Touareg 660 is one of them.

The Tuareg 660 aims to fill the void in the Aprilia lineup and their first ‘go anywhere’ motorcycle. The brilliant ADV-centric design will give riders the ability to go both off-road and on-road while being packed in a mid-displacement Italian Stallion. The bike features Aprilia’s recent 660cc liquid-cooled inline-two that is capable of producing 80 HP and 51.6 lb-ft of torque.

In typical ADV fashion, Aprilia offers a huge range of bolt-on accessories ready to take you anywhere you want, including (but not limited to): aluminum side panniers, 33L aluminum case, engine protection, a central stand, a more comfortable seat. option, easy-to-install quickshifter, and much more.

The 2022 Aprilia RSV4 Factory is Aprilia’s first superbike aimed at giving riders a premium track experience through its exaggerated engineering and power. Destined to rival other superbike titans such as Ducati’s Panigale V4 and Yamaha’s R1; Aprilia was sure to pack a punch in this year’s iteration of the factory RSV4.

The revamped 1099cc V4 engine brings more power than ever thanks to improved torque figures and an added degree of refinement over previous years. Expect to bring a change of underwear as you try to tame the full 217 horsepower and 92.1 lb-ft of torque.

As well as some increased horsepower figures, this bike also brings MotoGP-inspired aerodynamic features to ensure you stay rubbery as you roll through the corners. The Factory Edition also includes forged aluminum wheels, smart Ohlins semi-active suspension and an upgraded beefy Brembo braking system.

The Tuono 660 Factory is another new addition to Aprilia’s stacked CV for 2022. Aprilia has taken the initiative to transfer some high-end qualities found in the Tuono V4 Factory and integrate them into the already very successful Tuono 660 base. .

While the base Tuono 660 is already a great bike, the Factory Edition kicks things up a notch with improved suspension, better power-to-weight ratio and special graphics kits.

You’ll find the same 659cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine found in other Aprilias 660 models, boasting 100hp and 50lb-ft of torque.

If you are a big fan of the RS 660, the RS660 Limited Edition is sure to excite you thanks to its limited availability. To celebrate a very successful first year of 660 sales and competition, Aprilia presents a limited edition version of the RS 660.

After taking over the Twins Cup (an American racing series featuring mid-displacement twin-cylinder motorcycles), it only makes sense that Aprilia would show its dominance with a special edition of its award-winning motorcycle.

This special edition features a special livery inspired by American racing in addition to some competition enhancements such as a single-seat rear fairing cover, oversized top fairing and a fully adjustable reverse gear box. Beyond these changes, the bike will remain essentially the same as the base RS 660.

The limited edition RS 660 will be limited to 1500 units in total sold.

For riders who are starting out on a scooter before entering the full-size ADV market, Aprilia’s SR GT scooter might be a good place to start.

Marketed as an “urban adventure scooter”, the SR GTs come with 175mm of ground clearance and 120mm of travel in the front shocks. The 2022 SR GT will be available in two engine configurations: 125 cc (15 horsepower) and 174 cc (17 horsepower).

As of this writing, the Aprilia SR GT has only been announced for Australia.
