In the world of electric and self-driving cars, vintage cars with their handcrafted interiors and old world charm have their own fans. Collectors roam the place, always in search of this gem that extends their personality. However, the buying and selling of vintage cars in the country is very poorly organized and most people do not know where to start when looking for one. It is this market gap that Gurgaon-based Big Boy Toyz (BBT), which specializes in used and imported luxury cars, is targeting by launching its online auction of vintage and classic cars. The auction, which will take place on December 19 at noon, features more than 20 cars from brands such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Cadillac, Austin, Land Rover, Buick, Mercedes, Chevrolet, among others.

The auction will begin with the iconic 1960 Volkswagen Beetle, for which the auction will start from the Re 1. The Beetle will be offered without reservation and will be sold at the final offer price.

The result of the auction will be announced on January 8, 2022 from 3 p.m. Bidders can visit the BBT showroom in Gurgaon to view the collection before bidding, or experience a 360-degree view of the cars on the website. BBT also has a dedicated hotline to assist bidders and provide information.

In order to participate in the auction, bidders must deposit either Rs 1 lakh (allowing them to bid for two cars, each having an estimated value of Rs 50 lakh) or Rs 2 lakh, which allows them to bid for a maximum of four cars, with no upper limit.
