“It’s a very exciting and moving day for me. Exactly 30 years ago I started on a very small scale in the United States with a total of 12 people and now we are by far the largest European motorcycle producer and we employ 5,000 people. The key success factor, I can tell you, is running. Racing is basically the driving force that we’ve created over the 30 years and that brings us to this – the biggest investment I’ve ever made – with a $ 50 million project here in the United States. It’s also a new target for everyone and it’s a really great time. Now let’s look ahead and set ourselves new goals for the future, ”commented Stefan Pierer in his welcome speech.

John Hinz, CEO of KTM North America, Inc. added, “Our group of brands have an incredibly rich history here in the United States and North America, and we are honored to pass this legacy on to the next generation. This celebration marks another incredible milestone in our history with this new campus, which is an incredible tool for us to offer our service to our dealers as they are truly the lifeblood of our business. Committing to an investment like this takes courage, and I would like to thank Mr. Pierer and the Board of Directors for their continued commitment to the company here in the United States and North America. Our goal is to develop the sport of motorcycling and cycling, and these new buildings are going to be an incredible asset in continuing to provide this service to our dealers across America.

With global headquarters based in Mattighofen, Austria, KTM is the leading European manufacturer of high performance street and off-road sport motorcycles that has been an active player in the growing North American market since 1967. Since the acquisition new brands such as Husqvarna Motorcycles in 2013 and GASGAS Motorcycles in 2020, KTM has witnessed a significant increase in demand for two-wheelers across the world and now with the incorporation by PIERER Mobility of the rapidly growing industry of electric bikes, the company sees a bright future in the field of sustainable two-wheelers. transport.
