Community remembers teenager killed in motorcycle crash

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WPTA21) – Family and friends of the teenager killed in a motorcycle crash on Stellhorn Road paid tribute to him on Sunday night outside BMZ Wheelhouse.

David Nunnally, also known by his middle name of Cecil, is remembered for his humor, love and kindness. He was 19 years old.

During the vigil, some of David’s closest friends showed off their cars and bikes.

His mother, Jennifer Nunnally, said her son was loved by so many in the community.

“He was amazing, he could make anyone smile,” said Jennifer Nunnally. “He loved his friends, he loved being the person who could help them.”

One of David’s close friends, Ethan Inman, said David made a larger-than-life impact during his time on earth.

“He was probably one of the most amazing people I have ever met,” said Inman. “He brought together a community of people who would probably never come together.”

As the community mourns a lost life far too soon, his mother knows David’s memory will live.

“I guess he’s grateful up there, he loved riding a motorcycle,” said Jennifer Nunnally. “So no matter what, he died doing something he loved.”

Family and friends say they hope David will be remembered for the life he lived, rather than for the way he died.

His celebration of life is scheduled for next week.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family pay for funeral expenses.
