CONYERS, Georgia – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) –Progressive IMS outdoors, the biggest mainstream motorcycle tour in the powersports industry connecting enthusiasts to the biggest brands, announced today the winners of the 11e annual J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show (UBCBS). The championship round reached a crescendo at the Atlanta leg of the IMS Tour on October 31, with the âKing of Buildersâ crown being bestowed on former UBBCS participant Anthony Robinson.
“Congratulations to Anthony Robinson for winning the first place prize in the Championship Freestyle Class which is crowned King of the Builders, and to everyone who entered this year’s UBCBS competition, âsaid Bob Kay, Director of UBCBS. “The raw talent and pure passion these builders have infused into their custom motorcycles is remarkable and we applaud everyone who participated.”
Kay continued, âWhat’s exciting about this year’s competition is that it’s not over. We’re excited to host a Bonus Party in Southern California on the final leg of the IMS Tour along the Series of Events in Eight Cities, offering special prizes and features. All winners and finalists of the bonus round held in Southern California will advance to the 2022 championship.
Winners and runners-up from each class throughout the seven-event competition competed in the Championship Round held last weekend in Atlanta. The builders competed for the grand cash prizes of $ 10,000 in the Freestyle class and $ 2,000 each in the Custom Street and Custom Classic classes. All prizes are offered by Arlen Ness, Avon Grips, Bell Helmets, BDL, Biker Net, Black Fly’s, Cycle Visions, Dunlop, Fat Baggers, LePera Seats and Twin Power.
Championship round winners include:
â¢ Brian Buttera took first place with a 1977 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead featuring a handmade stainless steel rigid frame, front beam, handlebars, rear struts and exhaust . The custom also accommodates a solid brass rear fender and components, handmade gasoline and oil tanks, plus AN fittings throughout and a hand-rolled aluminum seat.
â¢ Chris Wilson secured second place with a 1980 Harley-Davidson FLH that features a factory frame, fold-down seat kit, adjustable swingarm, a six-inch Baker N1 four-speed manual transmission and an engine. 98 inch stroke shovel head, painted by Joel845.
â¢ Jesse Spade won with a 2000 Ducati 750ss which accommodates a tail and hand-shaped windshield, painted by J Daar.
â¢ Yaroskov Lutensko was selected as a finalist with a 2019 Harley-Davidson FXBB, featuring deep black custom paint with a Carbon HD Screaming Eagle, Stage IV Big Bore kit with accessories, black engine covers, 19 inch HD annihilator , a 16-inch front wheel and rear wheel with four-wheel drive control. The custom features an assortment of Harley-Davidson parts, complete with front and rear axle covers, derby cover and headlight ring, grips, shifter, footrests and a leather bag. Other features include an adjustable shock absorber, grease boosters, Harley-Davidson tank cap, Mototeks pulley, with Metzeler ME888 tires, Kodlin rear suspension lower kit and much more. The custom was painted by EXSA Automotive.
â¢ Anthony Robinson took first place with a 1949 Triumph T-110 dubbed “Black Coffee”, featuring hand-designed and hand-crafted wheels, fuel and oil tanks, custom seat, fenders, manifold , copper tubing, rear perimeter brake, controls, bars, and more. The bike rides on a 1938 Indian Jr. Scout beam with an 18-inch Chevron rear tire and a 21-inch Firestone front wheel. The customization features open hubs for squeeze tube visibility and is etched in gold and chrome plated with the dust shields and taillight. The bike is custom painted by Mike Clary.
â¢ Steven Iacona secured second place with a 1996 Harley-Davidson FSXT featuring handcrafted parts including headlamp and taillight, rear fender strut, rear fender, brace fork, exhaust pipes with heat shields, an oil tank, brake caliper brackets, an engine bracket, gas tank, electrical box and battery. The Craft Tech frame is highly modified and accommodates fully adjustable progressive front and rear suspensions, Brembo radial calipers, hand controls and machined 39-millimeter Harley-Davidson fork legs. The stainless steel ridge tube is hand bent and polished for brake, oil and clutch lines. The engine is fully modified and polished, as well as a polished transmission. The custom is painted by Robert Pradke.
