Arlington, Va. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ — Arlington Sports, the promotional organization for the DC area’s premier cycling event, announces that Amazon is the supporting sponsor of this year’s Corporate Challenge. The Corporate Challenge is one of the flagship events of the weekend’s Armed Forces Cycling Classic, presented by The Boeing Company.
The Amazon Corporate Challenge is open to organizations large and small, and allows companies to participate in the Saturday Challenge Ride as a group. This year’s Amazon Corporate Challenge will see twenty teams compete for the most laps by team or for the most laps by their top six riders. This friendly competition allows companies large and small to compete for the top honors. In addition to the Horseback Riding Challenge, we invite all of our participating Challenge Teams to raise funds for their charity partner, TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). A full list of competing teams can be found on the website at https://cyclingclassic.org/challenge-ride.
Arlington Sports continues to do important work in our community, and Amazon is proud to help promote and grow cycling in Arlington County,” said Patrick Phillippi, senior director of community engagement at Amazon. “We are thrilled to be part of this year’s Cycling Challenge and encourage enthusiasts of all levels and ages to join in the fun.”
The event will kick off in Arlington, Virginia with the Challenge Ride, followed by two days of professional and amateur racing. Children 9 and under also have the opportunity to participate in the children’s races for free.
Registration for the Armed Forces Cycling Classic Challenge Ride is currently open, with limited spots remaining, and is expected to sell out. A full schedule of events and more information regarding attendance, volunteering, event sponsors and more can be found at cyclingclassic.org.
