What a long and strange journey this has been, for I’m sure you are all aware that it has not been an easy road to walk – like a black diamond trail, never traveled before, throwing dashes to the left, to the left. right and in the center, stay on your toes and keep rotating, dance the monkey dance. Well, here we are, ready for a fall classic to unfold.
Four male champions, past and current, are all on the starting line; Felix Burke, Geoff Kabush, Corey Wallace and Kris sneddon with unknown products like Karsten Madsen come and spice up the mixture, which will have the jam to win. With all the new venues at your fingertips, never-before-seen tracks, premium track setups and drop conditions to keep the engines cool and revving, this year’s edition is shaping up to be a battle. royal of epic proportions.
On the women’s side, we have a team of all-star Canadian talent, many of whom come straight from the World Cup circuit and some even from the Tokyo Olympics; Emily Batty, Laurie Arsenault, Haley Smith, and Sandra Walter, no longer returning finalist of the 2019 BC Bike Race Courtenay McFadden (UNITED STATES). Without Katarina Nash to face, who will triumph and be the fastest woman at the “Ultimate Singletrack Experience”
The race begins and it’s going to be exciting, biting, and only sweetened by grilled Merlot and Chardonnay at the finish lines in beautiful BC wine country. From the rugged, gnarled, rock-strewn singletrack to the fast rolling berms, slabs and impressive views, this course of seven (7) stages and six (6) days has it all.
